1. About these terms
These terms apply to anyone who uses sixdollarsundays.com (the "site"), submits a promo through it, or signs up to the waitlist. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be flagged on the site for at least 14 days before they take effect.
2. Who we are
Six Dollar Sundays is operated by Daniel Navarro, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading under the brand "Six Dollar Sundays" and as part of the wider securemyname.com portfolio. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean Daniel Navarro trading as Six Dollar Sundays. Contact: dan@securemyname.com.
3. What Six Dollar Sundays is
Six Dollar Sundays is a free promo discovery service. Shoppers see a weekly list of $6 promos every Sunday morning, organised by city. Merchants submit promos through a verified-merchant flow. Standard listings are free. Paid featured slots may be added in the future.
The sister site Five Dollar Fridays runs the same model on Fridays at $5. One merchant account works across both.
4. Listings are merchant content, not our content
Every promo is content submitted by an independent merchant. We display it. We do not sell anything, do not fulfil any order, and do not endorse any merchant or product. Disputes about a promo (price, availability, fulfilment, quality, refunds) are between the shopper and the merchant.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the site to:
- Submit a promo for any brand or domain you do not control (the verified-domain check stops most of this automatically)
- List weapons, replicas of weapons, weapon parts or ammunition
- List adult content of any kind, including alcohol-only loyalty offers
- List recreational drugs, related paraphernalia, or controlled substances
- Misrepresent the offer (price, availability, terms, expiry)
- Infringe a third party's trademark, copyright or other intellectual property right
- Submit content that breaks UK or US law in the merchant's selling jurisdiction
- Attempt to disrupt the site (denial of service, scraping at volume, bypassing the moderator)
We may remove any listing that breaches these rules, and we may suspend or close any merchant account that does so repeatedly, without prior notice.
6. Domain verification
Merchants verify domain ownership once via a unique DNS TXT record or an HTML file uploaded to the verified domain root. The verification is required before any submission goes live. We may revoke verification if we have evidence the domain is no longer under the merchant's control.
7. Auto-moderation and manual review
Every submission is auto-moderated for image safety, text content, URL safety and category. Most submissions clear automatically. Submissions in the grey band are reviewed manually, normally within 24 hours. We retain the right to reject any submission for any reason and are not required to publish reasons individually.
8. Pricing and changes
Standard listings are free at the date of these terms and we do not plan to charge for the standard listing. Paid featured slots (planned at $6/week for Sunday features, $5/week for Friday features on Five Dollar Fridays) may be added. If we change pricing for a feature you have paid for, the change applies to your next billing cycle, never retroactively.
9. Takedowns
To report a listing for removal (trademark, copyright, fraud, expired, harm), email dan@securemyname.com with the listing URL and the reason. We aim to respond within 24 hours. If the request is valid we will remove the listing promptly; if it is unclear we will contact the merchant first.
10. No warranties
The site is provided "as is". We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or quality of any promo listed on the site. Where the law allows it, we exclude all implied warranties.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
Subject to that, our total liability arising under or in connection with these terms (whether in contract, tort, breach of statutory duty or otherwise) is limited to either (a) the total fees you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred pounds sterling (£100), whichever is greater. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of business or loss of data.
12. Merchant indemnity
Merchants indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from their promo content (including trademark, copyright, advertising standards, refund disputes and product liability). If a claim is made against us about a merchant's listing, we will tell the merchant promptly and they will defend and bear the cost of that claim.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate any merchant account or remove any listing at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Where possible we will explain why. Shoppers can stop using the site at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
14. Privacy
How we collect and use personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising under or in connection with these terms, except that we may bring proceedings against a merchant in any jurisdiction where the merchant has substantial assets.
